I have splinters under my nail beds. How do I get rid of them? It is plywood that had been polyurethaned.?

I made a mistake in covering the splinters with a first aide skin covering that resembles clear finger nail polish. When my nails grow the least bit, it is very painful. My husband is unsympathetic and demands I leave my nails alone. I have been to a dermatoligist, podiatrist and family doctor. No one has any answers.I have splinters under my nail beds. Are they real splinters from that wood or are they that splinter-like darkness that appears when you have a nail fungus starting?

If they are true wood splinters take off that covering and they will eventually be far enough forward that they can be removed easily with a tweezers. Don't go for any radical surgery like having someone removing your nails.

And next time wear good work gloves to protect your hands.
