Don't know what a fakir is, but anyone can sleep on a bed of nails....The weight is distributed equally on each nail so you feel no pain, its nowhere near the sensation of sleeping on one nail (in which all your weight would be on one nail, resulting in an excruciating experience).Why do fakirs sleep on a bed of nails without being hurt?
Why they do it is to show that will can override ability. The question should be How.
