BLUE FINGERNAIL BEDS? My son is 6, his nails are blue, lack of oxygen? Im concerned. Any ideas why?

He feels fine, earlier said he had a stomachache, but playing %26amp; fine. A little background, he has had asthma since 2, many daily meds, BUT in December all meds were taken away, crazy he has been fine ever since. More than fine. No episodes, attacks, healthy. laways in the back of my mind, will it come back. He has his bad month(October) so I am awaiting that. Dr. says take it day at a time, if it comes back, will treat again. Anyways

TODAYS PROBLEM: his nails are blue, i right away think hes not breathing well. I call Dr. immediately, the nurse is not concerned. She says with no other symptoms could be many htings, even a virus--(i never heard of a virus making blue fingernails) So nurse says monitor him, any other symptoms, they are there 7 days a week. SO what do you think? I am concerned, pediatric nurse not, 1 neighbor says looks strange, no blue lips, eyes, fine, no labored breathing. SO ANY SUGGESTIONS, THINGS TO LOOK FOR, CONCERNS, all appreciated!BLUE FINGERNAIL BEDS? My son is 6, his nails are blue, lack of oxygen? Im concerned. Any ideas why?
Are his lips blue? I know when I was a child I had blue fingernails and blue lips because of lack of oxygen due to a heart problem. It could be a number of things so I would get another doctors opinion!BLUE FINGERNAIL BEDS? My son is 6, his nails are blue, lack of oxygen? Im concerned. Any ideas why?

go to the doctor right now screw the nurse...
Blue fingernail beds is usually a sign of a lack of oxygen. I would absolutely get a second opinion. It doesn't sound emergent, but why wait??
It could be something else such as anemia. You should schedule a doctor appointment.
BRING him to a doctor and have them look at his fingers - sounds odd to me. Bring him in right away.

Is this true - if the ';half moon beds'; on your toe nails are pink or red, you have heart disease?

No, just another ';old wives tale'; Don't worry.

Man between two beds of nails?

Hi, so i have this question for science but im totally unsure how to do it....here's the picture. Help? (:

What is the force that holds the man against the nails?

Do you think he will get injured? Why?

Which bed of nails should have higher density of nails, the one at the top or the one at the bottom? Explain.

THANKS!Man between two beds of nails?
The picture shows only bottom side having nails. On the top, a board is carrying a concrete block, which will be broken by hitting the hammer.

That means the person is already lying on the bed of nails, will get a sudden blow from top, pushing him towards nails below.

It is not clear why you are asking about density of nails.

The resistance against pricking of nails, develops slowly with continuous practice. i have purchased a plastic board, with sharp points rising from it, on which it was difficult to stand bare footed, in the beginning, but it becomes easier with practice.Man between two beds of nails?
it's perfectly safe to lay on a bed of nails. a bed with much fewer nail points may peirce the skin, but with so many points, the pressure supported by each point is very little and will not peirce the skin

Do pink and white acrylic nails turn yellow from indoor tanning (tanning beds)?

I want to get my nails done with the pink and white acrylics but I am worried they might turn yellow. I have had regular acrylic nail in the past and they turned yellow from tanning but I heard that the pink and white arcylics won't. Does anyone know if this is true or if there is a clear polish that I can use to protect them from turning yellow? Any advice is greatly appriciated. Thank you!Do pink and white acrylic nails turn yellow from indoor tanning (tanning beds)?
Most tanning salons sell nail covers. So just wear nail covers and nothing will happen to them.Do pink and white acrylic nails turn yellow from indoor tanning (tanning beds)?
If you have cheap nails that were made with cheap acrylic products, then yes, they will yellow easily. But, top of the line acrylic products do not yellow like the cheap stuff does. You may want to go to a different salon - one that uses good products.

BTW, there is no difference between the pink %26amp; white, and what you call 'regular' acrylic. They are the same thing, just a different color. Good quality acrylics come in many different colors, and will withstand the UV lights and not become yellowed.

  • I had my big toe nails removed at 12 by the beds wich means I have rough, dry, ugly looking skin there?

and at the time didn't bother me for a few years. I'm 24 this year and there is nothing worse than having awful toes in sandles. I am also tall ( 5ft 10 ) so find it difficult to find anything that looks nice?? I have tried painting them and the nail varnish soaks in, and glue on ones make them sore!!! Anyone have any useful suggestions, that I haven't tried or is there no hope.I had my big toe nails removed at 12 by the beds wich means I have rough, dry, ugly looking skin there?
You should write in to chat magazine (or that's life!) They recommend products and send them you for free......worth a shot.I had my big toe nails removed at 12 by the beds wich means I have rough, dry, ugly looking skin there?
    Hello,

Given that nail varnish soaks in, have you thought of using a bright red acrylic (artist's) paint on the nail beds, and helping it to dry with a hair dryer? Maybe after that, cover the dry acrylic paint with a clear nail varnish to make it all durable.

    Best wishes, Belliger
Maybe you should have someone do them for you with the jels or fiberglass nails. I think that might work for you.

My finger nails are very long : why did they tear my trouser when i was throwing it accidently on the bed ?

that happens sometimes with a natural nail-sounds like your nails are pretty strong as they survived but the trousers didnt

Acrylic nails turned yellow from tanning bed!?

So before you start lecturing me about how bad tanning is for you, I KNOW. It's not something i do regularly.

Annnyway, recently I got french tips and a few days later i got in a tanning bed, and came out with my nails slightly yellowed. Just incase I bought nail-savers for next time. But my question is..

When i go to get a fill-in for my nails, will they be able to fix the yellow-ness or do i just have to get a new set?

Thanks! :DAcrylic nails turned yellow from tanning bed!?
I don't tan, but my acrylic nails turn yellow sometimes to, especially when I wash dishes a lot. You'll have to get a whole new set, because you don't want to start a fungus or an infection.

Good Luck!Acrylic nails turned yellow from tanning bed!?
You can probably get a chemical bath, or radiation therapy, you could get them replaced. But next time, wear UVB-resistant gloves
