I deliver mail and I would like to know how long it would be before I can return to regular work schedule? The nail bed was ripped off completely and I had an acrylic nail on also. There is constant pain but the Vicodin is too strong for me. I am now taking just half of the pill.Ripped nail bed(avulsion) healing process?? Lots of pain and Vicodin is too strong.?
Is the nail completely torn off? If so it will take months to replace the nail for it to grow back out. But within weeks the skin should harden and there should be a thick layer of skin that will develop within a week or so, well thats how long mine took.
