I've had this happen after I've used acrylic nails. Usually what I do is trim the nails down as far as they've detached and just let them regrow. It doesn't look too pretty and feels REALLY weird. HOWEVER, I've caught my nails on an object before and torn way past the detached part. OUCH!!!

I have psoriasis of the fingernails.Nails have detached from the nail bed.Should I trim the loose nail back?
Oh that hurts , my friend has the psoriasis of the skin and bones , and she has the same thing happen to her nails but I heave never ever seen her like cut it or anything like that . Why don't you go to your DR. and see what the best thing would be .
