Unfortunately without seeing the injury on this one, you really can't give good advice. You can try bandaging it and it will do one of two things, fall off on its own or heal back. The extent of the injury will determine that. Or you could go see a family practice guy, he can give you a little bit of lidocaine and cut off the disconnected portion of the nail or he will bandage it and tell you to wait and see. Going to see the doctor is the safest route.I accidentally pried a fingernail back and part of it is detached from the nail bed..?
Keep it bandaged till it heals so that it won't catch on anything.
You can tape it back in place. The nail will grow out and be fine. So long as the nail bed itself is not damaged (%26amp; it is not)you're OK.
