My nail beds hurt?

Ive been having problems when i wake up inthe morning with my fingers being sleep. Im at work and when i type my nail beds are sore. I have long natural nails and they grow long on there own. What could this mean?My nail beds hurt?
Not saying this is the answer my good friend but check this out:

ONYCHOMYCOSIS

Onychomycosis is a fungal infection which occurs on the fingernails.

CAUSES

Infection in the body or maybe a Finger injury.

SYMPTOMS

Nails that are white and thick.

Nails that detach from the nail bed.

Debris under nails which is difficult or impossible to remove.

A sac of pus anywhere around the nail bed.

Blister looking sores near the nail bed.

Pain or pressure around the nail and surrounding tissue.

TREATMENT

Trimming the nails to a shorter length will help to minimize discomfort and reduce swelling to the surrounding nail bed. In minor cases, over-the-counter antifungal topical treatments can be applied to hands three times daily. More serious cases respond best to antifungal drugs taken by mouth.

Maybe for you...it maybe just some debris that has gotten under your nails and may be embedded. I know you love your nails...but if it seems to get worse kim....sorry but you got to cut them and start over! love Sky.My nail beds hurt?
probably a lack of calcium in your diet. drink more milk or take calcium supplements and see if that works. If it doesn't, I have no idea

good luck to you:)
Maybe it's a skin infection. Some natural occuring bacteria (eg. Staphylococcus Aureus, Staphylococcus Epidermidis or Streptococcus Pyogenes) which normally live on the skin, might sometimes turn pathogenic. The long nails may also shelter them. You should better see a doc and have some tests.

Nail beds are Blue/Purple?

I've been sick for 3 weeks and have noticed that my nails are a bule/purple, all I seem to do is cough and also have sore ribs wirh this any ideas on what this might be?? Thanks in advance for your help.Nail beds are Blue/Purple?
It's your circulation. The oxygen carrying blood stays deeper in your tissue so it services the more vital areas of the body (which is why your hands go blue when you're cold). When your circulation is fine, this blood gives your nails the healthy pink tinge.

It can also be a symptom of an underactive thyroid.

You need to go to your Doctor!Nail beds are Blue/Purple?
Nail beds that are a bluish color indicate what is called ';cyanosis.'; This means that your body is not adequately perfusing your distal capillary beds with enough oxygen. That coupled with your pulmonary (lung) complaints means you need to go see the doctor very soon.

So please go to the doctor. You may have TB or some type of pneumonia. You may be prescribed antibiotics. Remember to take the whole prescription even if you feel better. Please do not stop taking the pills just after you feel better.

God Bless
I am not a doctor nor a nurse, but I do know that the coloring you are having on your nails is not a good sign. I think it could have something to do with your oxygen level. I would go to the ER like right now. I wouldn't wait. Especially since you have been sick for three weeks.

Good Luck and Take Care of yourself !
maybe ur really cold O.O
That's not a good thing. Call your doctor. If you can't breath, hospital right away.

Are tanning beds at tanning salons different from the ones at nail salons?

i wanted to go the tanning bed but my mom is making me go to the tanning beds at a nail place because its less expensive.

i wanted to go to an actual tanning salon because i thought their beds are better.

but my mom sais theyre all the same.

whos right? Are tanning beds at tanning salons different from the ones at nail salons?
OMG! Yes, they are different. Just as people mentioned, lamp life is important. The nail salon has added tanning as an extra service. It is not their main objective. Are they even certified tanning salon operators? It begs the question: how often do they change their lamps? Do let 1 burn out at a time and replace as needed? Do they replace all of them at once at a certain time? Are they keeping that place clean? Is the electrical proper, which will vary the tan? Do they take the lamps out and clean off the dust?

A professional tanning salon will run the place properly.

It's kind of like an SPF company like Hawaiian Tropic dabbling in indoor tanning lotion. They don't know anything. Australian Gold, Designer Skin, etc -- these are professional tanning lotion manufacturers, they know what they are doing because it is their specialty.

You don't go to a neurosurgeon for a breast exam. You go see your obstetrician. Are tanning beds at tanning salons different from the ones at nail salons?
Yes, the one at the nail salons tan your nails also. The ones at tanning salons only tan your skin.

Just kidding, they are the same.
Most beds are the same. I think what makes a big difference is how often they replace their bulbs.
they r the same
There is no right answer. It mainly depends on the bulbs and how old they are.
idk probably
im pretty sure theyre the same thing

Itchy nail beds? acyrylic nails?

i have been getting false nails for ten plus years, for the most of the time i have only gone to one salon, but i started getting itchy nail beds, about ten hours after thy had been applied. the itchiness last 5-7 days. my nails are wrecked underneth therefore i would like to continue with my false nails but the itchiness is really bad ans nothing helps. any ideas??????? many thanksItchy nail beds? acyrylic nails?
I would give your nails a break, get the nails off and save some money. If they are wrecked now keeping them on longer will only cause more damage.Itchy nail beds? acyrylic nails?
It sounds like you're having an allergic reaction to them. When you get them done, do they use an electric drill on your natural nails? Cause that thins out your nails. Then your nail bed starts to absorb the liquid from the acrylic, causing you to become over exposed to the chemicals.

I'd get them removed asap and give them a rest for a few months. Then try them out again. If the same thing happens, then you'll know for sure that you're allergic.

If you want to keep having fake nails, go with silk wraps!
your nails will keep getting worse with acrylics.

that's like the worst thing you can do if you want the appearance of better nails. how about.. you try and fix your actually nails?
Stop getting acrylic nails for a little while and spend some money on healing your nails.

Is it okay to wear fake nails to bed?

I just got fake nails and am wondering if you can wear them to bed without them coming off. ANSWER PLEASE!!!!!Is it okay to wear fake nails to bed?
LOL... Of course you can... especially if they were professionally done. You can do pretty much everything and anything with them onIs it okay to wear fake nails to bed?
Yes you can but be careful.
Well I am a professional beaty stylist and I do nails and tons of other stuff.I am wearing french tips right now that are fake.I've been wearing them for about 2 weeks now and sometimes when you go to bed if you move around a lot, they might fall off.But if you bought them at the store and put them on,then it's totally ok to just glue them back on.But if they are professionally done then you might need to go back to where ever you got them done and ask them to redo them or glue one back on.But yes it's totally ok to wear them to bed!!!
dont
yes it's Okay. If you got them done professionaly you can do anything without them braking. Stickons. Will come off tho.
I am wearing fake nails right now and i have had them for about three days they don't come off at night!!!
yes u can wear fake nails to bed they won't can off that easy.
of course! lol!
Yes. The only real danger I can think of when wearing false nails is handling a wet cloth or towel, all the water makes them heavy and can break your nails.
well what's your other option? not sleep?
yes you can!!!

the acrylic is like super super glue they wont come off!!!
i am quessing yes. i have never really done it before. but sooner or later i am planning on doing it. so my answer is yes!
if they are acrylic, they last at least a week
lol honey of course its okay. no problem at all :)
yes i do every time i get them

  • Anyone know the cause of blue finger nail beds??

For the past 12 years I have experianced cyanosis of my toe and fingernail beds. It is not affected by the weather - they have no sensation other than a slight tingle and disappear as quickly as they appear.Anyone know the cause of blue finger nail beds??
YOUR BLOOD CIRCULATION ISN'T GOOD, GO SEE A DOCTORAnyone know the cause of blue finger nail beds??
    Not good blood circulation.
i seem to remember from an agatha christie movie that its a sign of cyanide poisoning
I can't exactly remember or spell the name of the syndrome...I think it's called Raynauds Syndrome. I have it also. Go to WebMD.com for more info or see a DR. I don't think it is serious if it is that syndrome, but see a Dr. incase it is poor circulation.
Deep blue nail beds show a pulmonary obstructive disorder such as asthma

    or emphysema.

Diabeties is also another form of of lack of circulation to your extremeties, and coujld cause the blue ness, as well as the slight tingly feeling.

    please have this looked after.
Blue fingernails may result from a number of things from inadequate oxygen levels, abnormal blood counts, to Raynaud's Syndrome, etc. It would be difficult to have a direction or indication of the problem without more information.

I would highly recommend discussing this with your doctor, as it can be a signifigant indication of an underlying health problem!
';There are several reasons for blue nailbeds. One possibility is poor oxygenation. This could be due to any number of reasons; lung problems, anemia, carbon monoxide, etc. A more benign possibility is Raynaud's phenomenon. This harmless condition causes coloration changes in the fingers with changes in temperature'; (Med help). Go see a doctor
Cyanosis in adults is almost always caused by a drop in available oxygen to the tissue. Transient cyanosis of the fingers and toes may indicate poor capillary supply, and can be affected by changes in temperature (cold hands/feet) or by drop in available oxygen such as during an asthma attack. If this concerns you, seek medical advice from your doctor.
    blood circulation
there is no BLOOD moving through your nails, get that checked.
Usually it is related to some kind of lung disease.....go see a doctor, deary.
    seems to me poor circulation.bren
    Yes bad cerculation

My 3 yr old son is scared of noises, the dark, dogs, bites his nails, clings and hates going to bed, HELP!?

My son is scared of everything, i cant leave him a room alone or he comes running out of it crying and screaming, if its dark outside I cannot get him out of our truck, set him down, and go to get his brother before he is in histerical tears. To put him to bed is a chore, I have to leave the door open and a light on in the hallway because if the door is closed he throws a hissy. He is scared of the crickets and tree frog noises. He is scared of water, birds etc.He bites his nails and seems to the point of tears during bath time, and he will NOT potty train. He wont play with other kids unless I am in the room, I cant even leave him in the church nursery with his aunt. I stay at home with them and if I go to leave for anything both my boys throw full body hissy fits. They are with me constantly and I feel like I am raising weinies for boys. I thought boys were supposed to be tougher than this. HELP because I am seriously considering that I MUST have gone wrong somewhere in raising themMy 3 yr old son is scared of noises, the dark, dogs, bites his nails, clings and hates going to bed, HELP!?
I'd put them in daycare a few days a week, if possible. The first few times you drop them off will suck, but they'll be fine soon and your son will be annoyed that you're picking him up at the end of the day. I'd ask your pediatrician--he sounds like he might have some sort of sensory integration disorder. Good luck with them!My 3 yr old son is scared of noises, the dark, dogs, bites his nails, clings and hates going to bed, HELP!?
Have you talked to your pedi about this he or she is where you need to focous this question! there could be something wrong develpmentally his behavior isn't normal. do some on line searches for develpoment or a three year old. Also take a look at autisum (SP). BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY
fHave you heard of thing called separation anxiety? sounds like he might be suffering from this. constant reassurance that he will be o.k. and maybe take hin to see the clinic nurse or doctor about getting some proffessional help if you can afford it.

Do you have bed time routne? I found this helps me with my children. One of them was scared of going to bed so every night because there were monsters in her room(apparently) so every night I would get a spray bottle with a little water and vanilla essence in and I would look under the bed and spray some if the mixture (which I called magic monster removal) then I would open the cupboard door and spray some in there and then I would take the sheets of the bed all while my child was in room to help ';get rid of the monsters';and then I would read a story that had no scary pictures in it with them.. The first week I sat On my childs bed until they went to sleep, then I sat on the floor next to then bed and then next to the door and on a chair just out side door and now they go to bed by themselves although they still have the light on but this I can deal with.

well have to go as baby is crying good luck

The biggest thing to do is DONT BLAME YOURSELF you are doing the best job you can with skills and abilities you have.
babies and todllers afraid of some noises are normal.. what you can do is calm him down and tell him, that is okay... nothing to worry about... always be there... dont tease him, it will get worse

he needs u to get through of this

    bites his nails?

one of my friend told her son, if he keeps biting his nails, his teeth will grow yakky yakky .. and he is afraid of biting them now

or if u have heart to do this, apply some pper on his fingers ... until he get used to not to bite them again

    hates going to bed...

how if u company him for a while or read a story for him ... then slow down reduce the frequency...

i read from a book that a baby needs a basic trust from mums, if he didnt get it, he will grow with have no confident

(not try to offense, but could be that the cause?)

    u might can do this:

when at home n u r about to cook... tell him u will be right back for him... then once u finish cooking, straight away back to him

or what ever u do (get a drink, get a book, go to toilet), tell him to stay still, then you do what ever u need to do, but be right back once u've done... this way, he might learn that even though you go somewhere u will be back for him

    hope helped

nb: dont tell him that as a boy he has to be though, may not crying... otherwise he will grow with a not natural emotions (can't cry---%26gt; result coulnd not manage stress well)
O.K. where is your husband in all of this? You are needing support from somewhere. Where are your family and friends? Time to ask for help I think. You need to do things for yourself at least once a day even if it is just going out for a walk. Ask your church family to help also. Maybe take the 3 year old over to a friends house and stay with him for the first few visits and then leave him there without you for a while and keep on increasing the time. For pre-school he will need to be toilet trained but that is another option. What about a Moms and Tots group at your church or somewhere where you can get the support of other Moms. Don't be afraid to reach out! With the hissy fits, just walk away the next time they do this and once they see you aren't there they will feel pretty silly and stop! Email me if you like.
