scienceExplain why a performer can lie on a bed of nails without getting injured.?
Stepping on a single nail sticking up will puncture your skin, because the force from all your weight becomes concentrated on that one sharp point.

If you press your finger against a nail and only apply a couple pounds of pressure, your skin won't break and it won't even hurt.

The performer distributes their body weight evenly over many many nails, so each nail is only exerting a couple pounds of force on the performer. The performer does have to be very careful in climbing on and off the bed of nails - if at any point they put too much pressure on any part of their body, the nails will start to cut through....Explain why a performer can lie on a bed of nails without getting injured.?
it has to do with the distribution of the nails along his back. this spreads the surface area of his body, displacing less weight for each individual nail, and thus, reducing the amount of pressure that would otherwise pierce him.
step on one nail and you will have a hole in your foot, step on 100 and you can walk normally. It is based on weight distribution. If you weight 100 # and step on a nail there will be 100 # pushing on the nail but when stepping on 100 nails there is essentially 1 # per nail which may or may not be enough to puncture the skin.
This is an easy one...';surface tension';. The more nails there are on the bed, the more the person's weight is distributed. One nail, and it would impale him, 1000 nails and you could probably fall asleep.
because they're magic!
weight distribution is true but, confidence, proper concentration, willpower and off course inner strength. These all qualities makes him the hero.
