Nail beds are Blue/Purple?

I've been sick for 3 weeks and have noticed that my nails are a bule/purple, all I seem to do is cough and also have sore ribs wirh this any ideas on what this might be?? Thanks in advance for your help.Nail beds are Blue/Purple?
It's your circulation. The oxygen carrying blood stays deeper in your tissue so it services the more vital areas of the body (which is why your hands go blue when you're cold). When your circulation is fine, this blood gives your nails the healthy pink tinge.

It can also be a symptom of an underactive thyroid.

You need to go to your Doctor!Nail beds are Blue/Purple?
Nail beds that are a bluish color indicate what is called ';cyanosis.'; This means that your body is not adequately perfusing your distal capillary beds with enough oxygen. That coupled with your pulmonary (lung) complaints means you need to go see the doctor very soon.

So please go to the doctor. You may have TB or some type of pneumonia. You may be prescribed antibiotics. Remember to take the whole prescription even if you feel better. Please do not stop taking the pills just after you feel better.

God Bless
I am not a doctor nor a nurse, but I do know that the coloring you are having on your nails is not a good sign. I think it could have something to do with your oxygen level. I would go to the ER like right now. I wouldn't wait. Especially since you have been sick for three weeks.

Good Luck and Take Care of yourself !
maybe ur really cold O.O
That's not a good thing. Call your doctor. If you can't breath, hospital right away.
