I used to do this.Just keep it clean with some medicine on it and a band aid for a few days then let it air dry.Be careful of hitting the sore(it'll hurt like heck!!!)The nail will grow back.Don't let this become a habit.It won't take the place of getting help,if your feeling the desire to cause your own pain.I was pulling ripping my nails out to compensate for the inner pain I was suffering.This isn't ';normal ';behavior.Seek some help .Good Luck hope this helpsWhat happens if I destroy my nail bed?

Nothing. It may sting a while but it doesn't do anything. I think it looks wonky and ugly but doesnt do anything it shouldnt be noticable with nail polish!
