Ring finger nail bed shrinking?

I have the long kind of nails, not the short stubby type. But I've noticed that my ring finger's nail bed has been shrinking.

No, it's not Onycholysis (at least I don't think it is).

The nail looks exactly the same as all my other nails, except it's smaller. The pink part is. After cutting down the white part, the nail is /visibly/ smaller than my other ring finger's nail.

It wasn't always like that; I remember them being all the same in size. Awhile ago, though, I noticed that my fingernail started hurting when I touched it... and now it's smaller. It doesn't hurt now, though.

Any advice?

Thanks :]Ring finger nail bed shrinking?
Haha .. yep, wrong category. However, this is a question that might be worth asking a pharmacist about. They are a wealth of information and can give very valuable insight into issues that don't really need a doctor's visit, but yet are a bit upsetting. So check with a pharmacist for advice.
