Hmm.. Ok!
This has been going on for quite a while now and it is getting uncomfortable. How do I remedy the situation?
I always grow my nails quite long but this has never happened before. I managed to rip the nail off. I can't really explain. Not rip it off... lift it from the nail bed but still intact. How can I fix this?
They are long at the minute but if I accidently rip more it gets deeper.
10 points for the best!

Happens to all my nails except the thumb nails.Oh my nails and nail bed?! T_T?
Well, being a nail tech i can truly say that ive never really heard of this before. To be honest by your description it sounds like your nails are pealing layer by layer. If this is true it could be caused by a lot of things including your diet, your lifestlye, or simply your genes. In any case what i would suggest is getting a nail hardner with vitamins in it and/or iron. It cold also be a Lack of vitamin A, calcium, and protein. A protein deficiency can make white bands to appear on the nails or cause them to become dry, brittle, and very thin. Insufficient amounts of complete protein and/or vitamin A slow down the rate of nail growth (which is also affected by various drugs). A shortage of vitamin A or calcium in the diet may also cause dryness and brittleness.
Good LuckOh my nails and nail bed?! T_T?
Most likely you have a fungus infection growing under your nails that has made the nail easy to separate from the bed.
You will not be able to fix this problem and it is best for your finger to lose the nail since now moisture and bacteria can grow under nail where is nice and dark.
You may need a fungal pill or cream or you can see how the new nail will grow back in.
Good luck
