YES YOU SHOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR HOWEVER IT IS NOT NECESSARY JUST REMOVE WHATEVER PORTION OF THE NAIL YOU CAN EVEN USE SOME SORT OF BENZOCAINE TO NUMB THE AREA YOU CAN BUY IT IN A SPRAY WHICH IS VERY EFFECTIVE IN NUMBING SO YOU CAN REMOVE THE ROTTING TOENAIL THE SOONER IT IS REMOVED THE QUICKER IT WILL HEALWhat should I do? Just keep a band-aid on it to protect it. It will eventually grow out. Keep it trimmed short so it doesn't get snagged on anything.
Wrap a loose bandage on it, put on flip flops and go get medical help.

omg THIS HAPPENED TO ME.
i was barefooted and someone pushed somethign right on top of my big toe and it started bleeding internally and its completely ALL bruised.
its been a month or two now and my toe is still black =/ but its slowly going away but my nail is filled with the dried up blood underneath and itll only come out and go away after time :(
