How can i treat the nail bed after the nail has fallen off?

my toenail lifted up......how should i care for the nail bed so that it wont get infected??How can i treat the nail bed after the nail has fallen off?
The main thing is to alwyas keep it dry. If wet, the skin cannot heal. And pour hydrogen peroxide if you get the nail dirty...for instance if you step in dirt.

I feel bad for you...its so annoying and it burns if any liquid touches it. I had this under my fingernails from playing basketball.

Put waterproof first aid tape around it with a cotton ball during showers and take it off right after. You have to constantly have the toenail in contact with air so that it can heal. If it is constantly bound, persperation will prevent it from healing because your skin cant breathe. There really is no other way to make it heal faster but to keep away from water. How can i treat the nail bed after the nail has fallen off?
I have the same problem but my toenail is in a 45 degree angle and cannot tape it up. It is painful when it touches anything even slightly. Should I pull it off?

Frankly there is very little you can do. If the nail bed is bleeding put some triple antibiotic ointment on it and wrap the toe in a soft bandage. It will grow back naturally. My question is why did the nail fall off. Did you hit it or do you have a fungus infection?
